Coming soon - Seco® X-Tip Drill with replaceable tips
Smarter holemaking tools with exchangeable carbide tips. One tool, all materials. Discover the Seco® X-Tip Drill today. One drill body, multiple applications
Why juggle a toolbox full of drills when one system can do it all? The Seco® X-Tip Drill combines a modular drill body with a universal tip geometry that performs across all ISO material groups from steel to titanium to cast iron.
Whether you're drilling short or deep holes, this system adapts to your job. It’s the ultimate solution for shops with mixed production and ever-changing material demands.

Your challenge: Managing a cluttered inventory and selecting the right tool for every material wastes time and increases the risk of errors.
Our solution: One Seco® X-Tip Drill body covering all your materials and depths with fewer tools, simplified workflows, and reliable results every time.
The fast and easy replaceable tip drill

There is a key supplied with each drill body for changing the tip. The key is double sided and therefore the same key can be used for all sizes of tips within the range.
The key is made from hardened stainless steel and engraved to identify the size range.
Changing drill tips shouldn’t slow you down. And our patented pre-tensioned interface makes switching tips quick, tool-free, and ultra-reliable.
The axial lock and optimized contact surfaces ensure every change is secure and precise even after multiple swaps.
Your challenge: Tool changes eat into your cycle time and productivity.
Our solution: The Seco® X-Tip Drill's smart interface lets you swap tips in seconds - no fuss, no downtime.
Take control of unpredictable steels
Steels and stainless steels can shift in behavior from batch to batch, making consistent machining a real challenge. Our ISO P and M geometries cut through that unpredictability with steady, reliable performance across multiple grades.
Your challenge: Steels and stainless steels arrive with very different compositions and machining characteristics between supplied batches causing difficulties with performance and tool life.
Our solution: Our ISO P and M geometries are designed to work well across multiple grades of materials, making them an easy choice for predictable and repeatable performance.
Specialized geometry for cast iron

The ISO K geometry gives you stable, reliable drilling in cast iron by combining a strong cutting edge with smooth, predictable chip formation. It helps improve your machining consistency, lowers the risk of chipping or early wear, and keeps tool life steady throughout the shift. With ISO K, you get a dependable solution for tough materials.
Your challenge: Cast iron is abrasive and forms powder-like chips, which means standard drills often struggle. Edge wear, unstable cutting, and frequent tool changes quickly drive costs up.
Our solution: ISO K is designed specifically for cast iron, offering steady cutting behavior, better chip control, and longer tool life all while using the same X-Tip drill body you already have. You get better performance with fewer tools to manage and less downtime.
Specialized geometry for flatbottom holes

The X-Tip Flat Bottom geometry helps you create flatbottom holes in a single pass. Its cutting edges remove the cone normally left by standard drill points and give you a clean, stable entry even on angled or interrupted surfaces. This leads to smoother operations, shorter cycle times, and more accurate parts across different components.
Your challenge: Standard drills leave a tapered bottom, which means you need extra milling or spotting steps to get a flat surface. That adds time, cost, and unnecessary complexity.
Our solution: The Flat Bottom geometry creates a flat surface right away, removing the need for additional machining. And because it fits your existing X-Tip drill body, you gain new capability instantly without increasing your tool inventory.
The tool that makes holes, fast
Speed meets savings with the Seco® X-Tip Drill. Its high-feed capabilities mean faster drilling, lower energy, and reduced cost per hole. Its robust design and optimized chip flute geometry ensure excellent chip evacuation and hole quality, even at aggressive speeds.
Your Challenge:
You need to drill faster without sacrificing quality or burning through tools.
Our Solution:
The Seco® X-Tip Drill’s high-feed design boosts productivity and cuts costs without compromising precision.
Superior hole quality and surface finish

Thanks to its self-centering geometry and advanced point design, the Seco® X-Tip Drill delivers straight, clean, and consistent holes.
Whether you're working with curved surfaces or deep holes, you’ll get top-tier results with minimal post-processing.
Your Challenge:
Poor hole quality leads to re-work and wasted time.
Our Solution:
The Seco® X-Tip Drill’s precision engineering ensures perfect holes - straight, smooth, and within tolerance.
Sustainable and cost-effective tools for drilling
Less waste, more value. With reusable hardened tool steel bodies and recyclable carbide tips, the Seco® X-Tip Drill is designed for a greener future.
You only replace what’s worn, not the whole tool which saves material, money, and the planet.
Your Challenge:
Tooling waste and high costs are hurting your bottom line and your sustainability goals.
Our Solution:
The replaceable drill tips and recyclable design reduce waste and cost, making your shop more eco-friendly and efficient.
