These are Seco environmental objectives for 2011.
Increase energy efficiency
At Seco we aim to steadily increase our energy efficiency. Our energy efficiency objective is to reduce our total turn-over consumption of energy with 25% until 2020. This objective concerns our use of electrical energy, heating energy and the amount of vehicle fuel we emit.
Objective for 2011: <21.3 MWh/MSEK.
Key figure to reach 2020: 16.4 MWh/MSEK.
Decrease waste
We seek to reduce our amount of waste. Our waste objective is to decrease the amount of waste with 2 percent in relation to produced products until 2012. The target for 2011 is a maximum of 2.08 (Target 2010 2.14) tons of waste per ton of products, of which at least 60 per cent is recycled.
Key figure to reach 2011: 2.08 tons.
Increase the amount of recyclable waste to >60 %.
Increased use of recycled material
We also aim to improve our use of recycled material. By increasing our recycling activities we are hoping to retrieve more used products.
Objective for 2011: to get back 60 ton.
Decreased environmental impact from transports
We measure CO2-emissions from our product transports. To ensure continual improvement Seco is establishing climate compensation for business air travel.
